General questions
No, unfortunately. Only when treatment is performed by a BIG recognized dermatologist and the treating therapist/doctor is a member of the Dutch Society of Skin Therapists (NVH). And then there must be demonstrable physical complaints or there must be psychological suffering.

Piercings you will obviously need to remove from areas you wish to have treated. In some cases, it is not advisable to laser tattooed skin. But in that case, there are numerous other options.

As a rule, it is not allowed to bring children under the age of eight. It is important to us that there is a quiet atmosphere in our studio. Not only for yourself but also for other clients. Most treatments work best when you are relaxed. Will it really not work otherwise? Let us know. Maybe we can find a solution together.
Most of the time, yes. A lot of our products are hypoallergenic. But always mention it in advance. Even if you have a medical condition that may affect it.
Yes, it is paid parking in the Graaf Florisstraat. From Mon - Sun, 09:00 - 23:00.
In principle, any skin can be depilated. Prior to the treatment, we look together at what is the best technique for you.
It is nice if you are inside 5 minutes before the start of the treatment. That way you can just relax and prepare for your treatment.
During your pregnancy, you cannot undergo body sculpting, cryolipolysis or laser treatments. You can only do that again after giving birth. There are salons that do not perform pubic hair removal treatments after the twelfth week. Mainly out of concern for their own liability. However, we know that this cannot be a problem at all and will feel free to serve you. Many women are horrified at the idea of going into labor hairy. It has been our experience that the treatment sometimes becomes a little more sensitive as the pregnancy progresses, and hairs also seem to grow a little slower.
For best results, undergo at least three treatments before you leave. Expect to be hair-free for about three weeks. If you don't already get waxed regularly, the rule is: the third treatment 48 hours before departure. The second treatment four to six weeks before and the first four to six weeks before.
Waxing
There is no difference. Waxing is the Dutch term and waxing comes from English. However, there are many different types of wax/resin and different ways to apply and remove it.
Above all, don't worry. We have more than twenty years of experience and have trained or retrained several specialists. Treatment is not completely numb but there is never excruciating pain. Do you have a low pain threshold? Then we can take into account the materials we will use. Almost without exception, everyone leaves with a clean, relaxed and above all, good feeling.
The waxing itself is quite simple:
Step 1: Cleanse the skin
Step 2: Apply resin (there are specific resin types for different body parts)
Step 3: Taking it off again properly
Step 4: Resin residue removal
Step 5: Aftertreatment with gel or oil
The duration of the treatment depends on the area to be waxed. Somewhere between 10 minutes for an upper lip or eyebrows to 55 minutes for whole leg waxing in a man.
Do not take a hot shower or bath after 1 hour prior to your appointment. Your skin may be too soft which may cause small wounds when waxing.
Do not apply oily cream to the areas to be depilated for up to 2 hours prior to your appointment. Otherwise, the hairs will be harder to grab.
1 or 2 days before your appointment, use a natural exfoliating glove at home in the shower to exfoliate to loosen any ingrown hairs so they can also be waxed.
Make sure you sleep well the night before your appointment. This will make any pain experience a lot less.
For the next 48 hours, avoid tight clothing as much as possible. If anything rubs against the skin of the waxed areas, your skin will not like it. It may cause irritation.
After 48 hours, gently scrub your skin where it has been depilated to prevent ingrown hairs. You can do this 2 to 3 times a week. Use a natural exfoliating glove. This is because your skin responds better to natural materials.
Lubricate your skin well after exfoliation to prevent drying.
You may be able to use a drug to slow hair growth so that it takes longer for the hair to grow back.
Avoid UV-A and UV-B rays. In other words, no tanning beds and sunlight on the depilated area within 24 to 48 hours after treatment. This is because you have an increased risk of rashes.
After armpit waxing, do not use deodorant for 24 to 48 hours after the appointment. The skin is very sensitive, using deodorant may cause unnecessary irritation and/or discoloration.
This need not be a problem as long as you wear a tampon while waxing. Still, you may prefer not to get waxed during your period, as your skin will be more sensitive. The best time to get waxed is three to four days after your period, when it is probably the least painful.
We recommend Sudocreme or zinc ointment, an ointment based on zinc oxide, this protects the skin and has a drying, itching and cooling effect. The good thing about Sudocreme is that it has hardly any side effects. Even if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, there are no adverse effects on the baby. It is hypoallergenic, making it very gentle on the skin. It instantly soothes the feeling of irritation.
It protects your skin. And it promotes the production of new skin cells which supports the skin's repairing ability.
Laser Hair Removal
Since some residual hair is often shaved away before laser treatment, it is wise to wait 24 hours after laser treatment before using deo to prevent discoloration of the underarm skin.
For the treatment, you should shave the area to be treated one day in advance. Also make sure the area is clean. You should not epilate or wax the area to be lasered. Such treatments pull out the hair follicle. This can reduce the effectiveness of the laser treatment.
It depends on the area and intensity of your hair growth. Sometimes four to six treatments are enough but a male pubic area or back may require eight to 10 treatments. Also keep in mind that there should be an average of six weeks between treatments. So the entire treatment can take up to nine months. You will notice that after each session fewer hairs grow back.
The answer is no. Laser hair removal works by directing focused beams of light at your hair follicles. This light energy is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle, which is then superheated. By tweezing or waxing you also remove the hair roots so this principle no longer works.
Yes, you can shave the hairs that grow back between treatments. You will find that after each treatment session, fewer hairs come back. After two or three treatments, you often only need to shave once in the intervening six weeks.
Most people hardly feel anything from laser hair removal. However, it all depends on your pain threshold. Most people say it feels like a loose rubber band tapping against the skin. But if you are hypersensitive to pain, you will experience some discomfort.
There is no specific age limit. But it is wise to wait until you are through puberty. Girls should wait until they begin to menstruate. Anyway, under 14 is not a wise idea. Personally, I only recommend starting lasering from the age of 18 or older.
Yes you can. We use the Soprano laser with which any area can be properly depilated. It is NOT painless as the supplier claims, but not an insurmountable drama either. It is absolutely safe and has no effect on the functioning of the organ in question. Count on about eight to ten treatments for total hair removal. On average, a treatment takes about half an hour. As treatments progress, treatment times become shorter.
